Yoga in the Garden
On July 6, come enjoy a deeply restorative evening of gentle movement and sound in the tranquil setting of the Aga Khan Garden.
Yoga in the Garden begins with a gentle and inclusive hour long yoga practice led by instructor Melanie Maltais from 6:30 p.m., to 7:30 p.m. You are encouraged to immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of nature, feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, and embrace the beauty of silence during the session, allowing for a deeper connection with breath and sensation. If any movements do not suit you, feel free to modify poses, rest, sit, or lie down at any time. All of you are welcome as you are.
Following a quick break, participants will move to the Amphitheatre for a rejuvenating hour long sound bath with Kevin Gaudet from 8 p.m., to 9 p.m. Using instruments tuned to healing frequencies, the sound bath offers a full-body reset to relax the mind, body, and spirit. The gentle yoga beforehand creates space for the vibrations to resonate more deeply, enhancing the benefits of the sound experience.
Together, these experiences are designed to support nervous system regulation, inner stillness, and deep relaxation.
$49 per person includes Garden admission.

About the Instructors
Melaine Maltais: Melanie, a nature-loving & wisdom seeking soul from the shores of New Brunswick, traded ocean waves for Alberta’s landscapes in 2016, eager for new adventures. In 2017 she discovered yoga, & through the completion of a 200-hour program at Prana she fell deeply in love with the mysticism of philosophy, traditional & modern practices & the way of living a wholesome and Sattvic life. Now a dedicated teacher, she’s on a continuous learning journey, having explored Trauma-Informed Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Kundalini immersion and Sanskrit training . Excitingly, she’s returned from her solo journey to India and her 300-hour teacher training with Yogrishi Vishveketu at Akhanda Yoga School Anan Prakash. Melanie’s passion for yoga shines as she holds space for fellow yogin and eagerly expands her knowledge to share even more.
Kevin Gaudet: For Kevin, yoga is the practice of life. It provides the method, training ground and reality for fully and consciously moving through the world, for encountering all of life’s twists and turns with grace, intelligence, and respect. The mirror of practice is one that will consistently provide the practitioner with a high fidelity reflection of themselves, strengths and weaknesses alike. To be living within the opportunity to develop precision and discrimination as this reflection is observed is an opportunity Kevin intends to make the most of. This opportunity is one that Kevin feels all should have equal potential to put to practice, and is at the root of what drives him to share this inspiration with all who seek.
