RaeAnne Barkhouse, Academic Division Administrator, has been honoured with the J. Charles “Chuck” Morrison Memorial Award from the Association of Canadian Clinical Academic Department Administrators (ACCADA).

The J. Charles “Chuck” Morrison Memorial Award was established to honour the lasting legacy of Chuck Morrison, a founding leader of the Association of Canadian Clinical Academic Department Administrators (ACCADA).

This annual award recognizes senior-level administrative staff who have made significant contributions to their departments through exemplary leadership, innovation, mentorship, or by fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. It celebrates the spirit of dedication, professionalism, and service that Chuck embodied throughout his career.


RaeAnne Barkhouse

RaeAnne has spent nearly 30 years with the Department of Medicine, where she is known for her steady leadership, mentorship, and ability to bring people together. She has been a driving force in shaping a positive and collaborative departmental culture, fostering trust and respect among faculty and staff.

A mentor to many, RaeAnne is the person colleagues turn to for guidance, problem-solving, and encouragement. Her innovative approach to administration has improved operations, strengthened wellness initiatives, and supported the professional development of others across the department. In 2024, she was recognized as the 鶹Ƶ’s Outstanding Ambassador, a testament to her professionalism, generosity, and impact on the academic community.
