Blended Learning Studio
At the Office of Education, we are passionate about enhancing the academic experience through technology. Our fully equipped Blended Learning Studio provides instructors with a Professional video creation environment, featuring a high-quality, one-touch camera and mic system paired with a tablet for seamless annotation during live presentations or recordings. In addition, the Office of Education offers tailored training programs to ensure instructors have the skills and confidence to make the most of the studio.

- : The Owl Camera revolutionizes meetings with its compact design, delivering high-quality video and audio. It naturally directs the focus to whomever is speaking in the room, allowing online participants to feel like they are physically present.

- : Kritik is a peer assessment platform designed to improve students’ higher-order thinking and critical reasoning abilities. Kritik actively involves students in their learning journeys by encouraging self-reflection and peer evaluation.
- : Wooclap, integrated with Canvas, is an interactive learning platform designed to boost engagement during lectures, meetings, or training sessions. It allows presenters to create live polls, quizzes, word clouds, and Q&A sessions that participants can respond to in real time from their own devices, making learning and collaboration more dynamic and inclusive.
- : FeedbackFruits is an educational technology platform that helps instructors design and facilitate active learning experiences. It offers tools for peer feedback, group work, interactive study materials, and engagement tracking, all aimed at improving collaboration, critical thinking, and student learning outcomes.

General Appointment or Consultation Booking
The Alberta School of Business Office of Education offers consultations on a variety of topics, including, but not limited to:
- LMS transition support: Support with transitioning over to Canvas, using the provided course template, etc.
- Online and hybrid teaching: Online presence, engagement strategies, special considerations for online course design, hybrid approaches to teaching and learning
- Educational technology (hardware and software): Access to and instruction on educational technology supported by the Office of Education (ex. Catchbox, Meeting Owl, Mentimeter). Recommendations for educational software.
- Large course support: Course development and planning, managing TA roles, large scale assessments, active learning, classroom management, administrative considerations, etc.
- Blended learning studio: Access to and instruction on the School of Business' Blended Learning Studio
- Course design and development: Instructional materials, learning activities, learning outcomes, feedback and assessment
