Emily Guo
Emily Guo is an interdisciplinary researcher with a strong foundation in East Asian cinema, visual culture, and art history. She is expected to receive her Master’s degree in East Asian Studies from the Â鶹ÊÓƵ in June 2025. She also holds a Master’s degree with distinction in Communication and New Media from the City University of Hong Kong.
Emily is a recipient of the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Graduate Recruitment Scholarship and the Alberta Graduate Excellence Scholarship (AGES). Before joining The China Institute, she worked with the Mactaggart Art Collection at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ Museums and has professional experience in cultural research and (new) media production. Her expertise includes qualitative research methodologies such as focus group facilitation and in-depth interviews.
