Graduate Student Internship Program
Overview
The Graduate Student Internship Program (GSIP) allows graduate students at the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ to participate in flexible, paid work experience throughout the year. The GSIP program helps connect students with internship opportunities in the public, private or not-for-profit sectors where they can gain valuable work experience and strengthen both their professional and transferable skills.
Benefits
There are many benefits to participating in an internship experience as a graduate student. For instance, students can connect with organizations and employers within relevant fields as well as apply their academic learning to challenges and opportunities beyond academia.

- Students who are interested in participating in a GSIP internship opportunity can find more information online, view available postings on or connect with a Graduate Student Internship Advisor for guidance.
- Employers who are interested in working with an outstanding Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ graduate student can learn more about how to create/post an internship and hire a student.

Eligibility Requirements
- Any registered master’s or PhD student at the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ is eligible.
- Available internships are posted on , under the GSIP heading.
- Students can apply for GSIP internships for which they are qualified. Students are also able to create their own internships.
Recognition + Compensation
- Internship experiences are paid opportunities. Employers must adhere to the minimum payment requirements as outlined by the Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies.
Duration, Format + Location
- Internship opportunities are flexible and can be developed to meet the needs of both the student and the employer.
