The Department of Medical Genetics actively supports training for the CCMG accredited clinical genetics, clinical biochemical genetics, GGD (Genetic and Genomic Diagnostics) and laboratory biochemical genetics training programs. Additionally, training is also available in neurogenetics in the department.

Currently the department has two fellows training in clinical genetics, two fellows training in clinical biochemical genetics (metabolics), one trainee in GGD and one trainee in neuromuscular-genetics.
