ALES Mini-Internship Program (AMIP)

The ALES Mini-Internship Program matches students with a community-based farm or other Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences (ALES) organization for a three-day workplace visit over Reading Week in November or February. As an AMIP host, you will:

  • Provide incoming professionals with a chance to observe day-to-day field operations.
  • Contribute to the education and development of the incoming workforce.
  • Increase awareness of career opportunities in your field.
  • Dispel common myths and misunderstandings about your industry.

We are currently recruiting sites across Alberta to host students.

The Non-Profit Board Internship Program pairs mentors from non-profit boards in the Edmonton community with current Â鶹ÊÓƵ students for the academic year.

Participating community organizations collaborate with the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community to benefit from increased awareness of their key issues and fresh insight of current students.

Students receive ongoing non-profit board training and support and will complete a project to support board governance for the organization during the placement.

Organized in collaboration with the Community Service-Learning (CSL) in the Faculty of Arts.
